Excursion at KremsChem Austria
Located in the port area of Krems an der Donau, the KremsChem Industrial Park is one of Lower Austria's most important business locations. Eight companies employ more than 600 people. The companies in the KremsChem Industrial Park – primarily active in the chemical, logistics, and industrial maintenance sectors – maintain numerous interconnected relationships.

Duration: 1.5–2 hours
Programme:
Welcome and reception: Welcome of the participants and meeting them at the gatehouse.
Company presentation: Approx. 30 minutes.
Laboratory tour: Approx. 1 hour.
Production facilities tour: Approx. 1 hour, including the formalin plant, power plant, and H17 production facility for impregnation resins.
Participants can choose between the laboratory tour and the production facilities tour. Due to time constraints, it is not possible to attend both tours. The allocation of participants to the two groups will take place on site at KremsChem.
Dress code: Sturdy footwear and long trousers/leg-covering clothing.
Safety equipment: Safety vest, helmet and safety goggles will be provided at the gatehouse.
Taste Krems Tour
Your visit with Stadt Krems Winery, only a 15 minute walk from the campus, begins with a sparkling welcome: a glass of Blanc de Blancs sets the tone and offers a first impression of our style. Afterwards, you’ll be guided into our historic wine cellar, where you will gain fascinating insights into the winemaking process – from the grape to the finished bottle. During the tour, you’ll learn what makes their wines so distinctive, hear stories from the winery, and enjoy a look behind the scenes. The experience concludes with a tasting carefully selected wines, matched to the season – offering a well-rounded and authentic impression of our portfolio and the character of the region.
